A nurse who made art out of caps and stoppers

A nurse, Tilda Shalof, collected thousands of plastic connectors, medicine caps, syringe covers, stoppers, and tops left over from her daily work for nearly 28 years. Now, after keeping them for so long, they became an artpiece.

“Shalof’s friend, visual artist Vanessa Herman-Landau, came up with the idea of using the thingamabobs to make a large scale mosaic mural.”
